Chelsea Vs Arsenal : A summary

Minor but noticeable mistakes by Arsenal players in the starting stages of the game and early chances for Chelsea, that’s how the game got kicked off. As the game progressed and reached the middle stage of first half, it was almost shots after shots on both ends of the pitch. Both teams had a crack at goal but neither scored and that’s how it remained till the end of first half. The moment of tension and despair came when Lacazette failed to score from two yards out.
When the starting eleven was announced, it seemed that it really was a mismatch if a comparison was made between Kante & Fabregas with Xhaka and Ramsey but when it actually came down to the game there was no debate as to which team had the better midfield as both pairs played evenly. Fabregas was creating chances with his crosses while Ramsey hit the woodwork.
When half time approached, Chelsea needed the break but Arsenal didn’t want to stop as they were dominating.
The second half started with Chelsea playing the game in a controlled manner but frustration started to build up when every attempt to score a goal failed and yellow cards started to fly.
Mustafi had a goal cancelled as offside and that was the moment when every Chelsea player seemed to realise that they must score a goal and must do it fast. The momentum of the game was such that a single goal scored might be the difference maker.
A horror tackle by Luiz on Kolasinac saw him getting a straight red and during the stoppage time of the game, Chelsea played with 10 men.  Chelsea could have gone straight up the top of the league with a win tonight and Arsenal to the top half of the table. The goal difference would have seen to that but the game ended goalless and both team had to settle for a draw.
After the game, Arsenal stay 12th in the league and Chelsea stay 3rd.
Overall, the game was poorly played and not a spectacle as everyone had hoped it would be. Chelsea were not nearly close to their best and Arsenal played their same old boring game.
