Is this the right time for Jack Wilshere to step up?

Since his rise to first team football at the age of 18, Wilshere has done nothing but impress both fans and critics. PFA, young player of the year award, 2010-11 team of the year and Arsenal’s player of the season award. Accolade after accolade is what the 25 year old England international has been achieving in the early stages of his career. His ball playing and ball control skills are definitely exceptional and what is even better is his dribbling and passing skills. He just seemed to be the complete package but everything halted for him due to an ankle injury and that ruptured most if his Arsenal career. Replacements had to be brought and with the passage of time, he was almost forgotten.
No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t bring the best out of him because of consecutive injuries and his place in the Arsenal team was gone.
But, a loan spell to Bournemouth for the 2016-17 season, saw him return to not only his full fitness but also to his old form. There were many a times when he was the sole reason for many victories for The Cherries and for his performance he won back-to-back player of the month awards but another injury ruled him for the rest of the season.
Now, back at Arsenal for the current season, Jack Wilshere has a lot to prove. Even Gareth Southgate had said the Wilshere needs to play regularly to earn a spot in the national team. There is no doubt about the qualities but Wenger must trust more in Wilshere and keep playing him more. Jack Wilshere can bring a lot to the team when he’s in top form. With the 3-4-3 formation that Wenger is currently using, there seems to be little room for Wilshere but he should definitely be the second choice for the midfield position. If, Wilshere doesn’t get the game time he deserves, it’s better if he leaves Arsenal for a team that can provide him regular play time.
In the games that he started for Arsenal this season, he had put some excellent performances and gained some rave remarks from pundits. All he needs to do now is continue his fine form whenever called upon. Wilshere himself had recently stated that he’s is currently in his best physical condition.
More game time. Top performance.

The above two things will ensure Wilshere becomes one of the best once again. He still has age in his favour. He can still do it. It’ll really be a shame to see a player like him waste his talent.
