Best attacking Trio in Premier League
MSN or BBC? The debate has been
long standing and a definitive outcome was given when the Barca's front three
scored a staggering 122 goals and proved they are best.
No other, teams in the top 5
leagues have had much talk about their attacking trident and that makes me
wonder. We have 6 top teams in the Premier League, we must be having an
attacking trio which can be held at high esteem, right?
Let’s have a look.
6. Manchester
United
Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku
and Mikhitaryan. The line-up looks exciting, right?
Lukaku is the leading scorer in
the league so far and has hit the back of the net on all his six matches.
Rashford doesn’t score much but has the required speed and skill to float past
the opponents defence. Mikhitaryan is an intelligent player who can pick the
right pass or cross which requires minimal effort from the striker to score a
goal.

Players must have good chemistry
between them, especially the attackers, if they want to be called the best but
for that to happen, the front three must be constant and consistent and that is something that United have not done yet.
5. Arsenal
Alexis Sanchez, Lacazette and
Ozil. Just WOW.
Ozil and Sanchez will be the
creative fulcrum for this team while Lacazette will be the target man. Sahnchez
will tend to cut inside from his wide position and try to bulge the back of the
net with his long strikes and Ozil will be happy to confuse opponents with his
passing.

Ozil’s ability to become
invisible during crucial matches, Sanchez having his heart set on leaving
Arsenal for a better team. With so many irregularities, the possibility of good
team work gets reduced a lot. Not only that, if we are not sure of which player is going to start at what position, it's highly impossible to form the perfect attacking trident.
4. Manchester
City
Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero
and Leroy Sane. This team just seems to be so complete, right? Well it isn’t.
The problem is with Guardiola playing De Bruyne deeper in the field and he might also be thriving greatly in his new position but neither Sterling nor Sane could
match his creativity or long shots. He definitely is head and shoulders above
those two.
Also, Sterling is unreliable and
Sane is still learning and improving. He’s not in his prime to be compared with
any top wingers. In my opinion, if the attacking trio is changed to Gabriel
Jesus, Aguero and De Bruyne, they’ll own the opponents defense but Guradiola
will opt to play with just two players up front and that is why City are not
going to have a world class attacking trio.
3. Liverpool
Sadio Mane, Firmino and Salah. This trio just overflows with pace.
When these three are on the run, there are not many defenders in the world who can catch up to them. All three of them are direct players and will charge at the opponents like mad bulls. The only thing that these three need to do is bang tons to goals and that is precisely what they haven’t done so far this season. If they could do just do that, this trio will be unstoppable.I would just love to add Coutinho in the mix and what we have in a quadret and not a trio. This makes Liverpool better than any other team but it seems to be almost certain that Coutinho is leaving the reds in the near future and that has left me with little option.
In addition to that, I believe that except Mane, the other two are yet to reach the world class status. Even Mane is a few steps below the likes of Hazard and Sanchez but he definitely is better than Firmino or Salah. If these three can work in perfect coordination, it will be a dream to watch.
2. Chelsea
Hazard, Morata and Pedro. This
wide-men of this Trio have not changed but the front man has. Diego Costa has
been replaced by Alvaro Morata but he’s not the new kid on the block who’s
struggling to find his form. He’s already in top form, having scored his first
hat-trick for Chelsea within just 6 matches and he’s also the joint top scorer
in the league. Then there is Hazard. One of the best player in the world at the
moment. Everyone knows what he’s capable of. He’s just pure genius.
The right-wing position. Pedro
and Willian, they are the two players who can naturally play in those positions
and they have not been so efficient this term. Neither one of them is a Messi
or Bale or Robben. That’s the weakness in this trio. If Chelsea could find a
natural Right Winger with world class abilities, Chelsea’s attacking trio will
be the best in the Premier League. Also, we can't be certain about Morata. He definitely is banging goals now but Lukaku and Kane and Aguero have proven that they can do it at a regular basis. Morata still needs to prove himself as a Premier League striker but he's still better than Pedro or Willian. Which mean Chelsea have a duo not a trio. Yet.
1. Tottenham
hotspurs

The fault with this attack? I
hardly see any, except that Tottenham haven't won any major trophies yet and this season, if they are able to get their hands on any major trophy, it'd be because of these three.
So, the team with best attacking
trio in the Premier League in my opinion is Tottenham Hotspurs. Agree?
