Coutinho to Barcelona is the right move

Coutinho is going to Barcelona. Barcelona are preparing a huge bid for Coutinho. A deal worth 135 million for Countinho has been declined by Liverpool. Coutinho is on strike to join Barcelona. Countinho will join Barcelona in the winter transfer window. The roumers just never seem to end. Do they?
Coutinho is a world class player and is one of the most important player for The Reds. There is no doubt that he’ll fit into any team he joins and there are many clubs waiting in line for his signature but apparently Barca are seamingly heading that line for the talented Brazilian’s signature and Coutinho too seems to have his heart set on joining the spanish giants.
So, is Countinho and Barcelona, the perfect match? Let’s have a dig.
Before we begin, let’s have a look at the list of player who might provide Countinho a tough competition for a spot in the starting line-up.
Busquets? There is no way Coutinho is going to replace him. Both are entirely different players and Barca have no other player who can play as a defensive midfielder so let’s not even compare these two.
Arda Turan? He has enjoyed his bit-part time as a Barca player and ultimately he has been a flop. So, Turan will not fight for a place in the starting 11 with Coutinho and even if he does he’ll lose. Coutinho will definitley start over this Turkish national.
Andres Iniesta? He’s the club captain for god sake but he’s 33 years old and definitely past his prime. So if I have to pick Iniesta or Coutinho, I definitely go for the latter.
Denis Suarez? He’s definitely skilled but not as skilled as Cotinho and also he hasn’t proved his worth as much as Coutinho has. So, there’s no competetion there as to who’ll start the game between these two.
Rafina? I really don’t think he can quite bring the qualities to the pitch that Coutinho does. So…NO. Rafina will not fight Coutinho for a starting spot.
I’m not even going to consider Andre Gomes and you know why.
Ivan Rakitic? Now this is the guy who is almost as skilled as Coutinho. Both are similar kind of players and bring the exact same quality to the pitch. However, I do believe that Coutinho is still better than Rakitic because of his pace, dribbling skill and his nack for scoring long range goals and yes I definitley will prefer Coutinho over Rakitic.
So, with this being the status, I really don’t think that there is any possibility for Coutinho to face any
stiff competition from any Barcelona player for a spot in the starting eleven. He should easily fit in.
Now, focusing on the style of game that Barcelona play, Coutinho checks that box too. In Liverpool he has played behind attacking players like Firmino, Salah and Mane and he has been impressive even then. He creates chances for his team mates and scores goals for himself when he sees the opportunity and I belive he’ll do exactly that for Barcelona.

Till the time Dembele returns from injury, I believe he’ll play in the left plank but after the young man returns, Coutinho will play behind Barca’s front three of Messi, Suarez and Dembele and I’m sure that he’ll dazzle them. His game play, vision and creativity when combined with the attacking movements of the front three, there is no doubt in my mind that Barcelona is the best club for Coutinho.
