Harry Kane should stay

Beyond a shadow of doubt, Harry Kane is the most in-form striker in the Premier League. One of the most lethal strikers in the world at the moment. He can score with both feet and with his head too. He can score from inside the box, from the outside and he is a spot kick specialist. Out and out Harry Kane is the complete striker.

When you are a player with such a profile, it really is obvious that many teams will come swooping for you and high profile clubs like Manchester United and Real Madrid have already shown interest in acquiring his services but the point that I’d like to discuss today is, should he leave the Premier League?

My honest answer is a big NO.

To support my answer, I’m going to put forward a few points.

     1. By staying at his own team, Kane has the chance to make a name amongst the very best like Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney, Alan Shearer, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard

      2. United already have Lukaku and Real Madrid can easily find another world class player like Kane but it’s almost impossible for Tottenham to replace Kane

      3. If he leaves now, Tottenham will remember him like United remember Ronaldo but if he stays the Spurs faithful will remember him like United remember Rooney or Roma remember Totti

    4. He could become a legend for Tottenham if he can deliver the Premier League title for them.  Something that no one has ever done. He could emulate Ledley King

      5. A home grown talent like Kane is a rare phenomenon and it should not be wasted

      6.Did Barcelona ever consider selling Xavi or Iniesta or Messi?

      7. Harry Kane is a Premier League material and he should play in the Premier League

This being said, the scenario now begs the question, should Kane consider moving to a bigger club like United, City or Chelsea?

I would not even want that to happen. The reason is money. All the other clubs have enough cash to

splash and they can buy any world class talent but Tottenham do not have the required financial backing. It is obvious that Kane will fetch them tremendous amount of money but we all know what happened with the money Spurs got by selling Gareth Bale.

It is best for everyone if Kane stays where he is but I’ve to be honest and tell that in order to keep hold of, not only Kane but any of their prized assets like Alli, Erikson, Son or Alderweireld, Tottenham have to start winning the gold. They have become serious title contenders but they need to lift the Premier League trophy high above their heads.

Harry Kane, please stay.
