Michy Batshuayi is the man for the occasion for Chelsea. Chelsea Vs Watford : A Preview

Chelsea have never lost three consecutive Premier League matches since 2014-15 season and before tonight’s match they were three games without a win in all competition. Two losses to Manchester City and Crystal Palace and one draw against Roma in the Champions League.

In the two losses, Chelsea were not even close to what they were last season but against Roma, they showed great fighting spirit. After that match, everyone expected Chelsea to have a good game but it was quite well known that given the fine form, that Watford were in, it would not be an easy game for Chelsea.

Just as expected, Chelsea started the game with some good attacking football and their efforts paid off when Pedro scored a memorable goal early in the game but after that, Watford played some fine football with some great passing and skills. Chelsea hardly had any possession for much of the time and in the extra time of first half, Watford equalized.

This really had sent many Chelsea fans into a frenzy, who, for the past couple of weeks, have seen Chelsea dominate the game or take an early lead only to give it away with some sloppy football and after the Watford equalizer, every blues supporter were biting their nails with fear and to add more oil to the flames, Watford started the second half in great style and eight minutes into the second half, Watford took the lead via Pereyra.

After the second Watford goal, many thought that it was game over. Chelsea fans could only see their team struggle to get the equalizer.

Morata who was much expected to make a difference, was not putting on his usual performance.

A change was necessary and Conte made it at the right time. He replaced Morata with Michy and Alonso was replaced by Willian, after this change, Chelsea played with a back four and the formation changed to 4-2-4. Something that Conte had been wanting to do for a long time now.

 Michy Batshuayi has once again proved that he is the man for the occasion when he scored the equalized. Chelsea played with great fighting spirit and got two more goals. One in the 87^th minute through Azpilicueta and in the 95^th minute Michy scored his second goal of the game. Chelsea showed why they are the Champions of England with their never give-up attitude and finally won the game 4-2.

The game was won but Chelsea still have a few problems to pay attention to. They are seriously missing N’Golo Kante. They have become too dependent on the Frenchman that they cannot have a proper midfield dominating game without him. Also, Cahill definitely needs to be dropped and Rudiger or Christensen needs to be played more. Also, Chelsea need to start scoring a lot and a lot and a lot of goals. Morata has been scoring a premier league goal every 82 minutes and Michy is not consistent. Chelsea have to do something to fix all this.

If Chelsea want to stay on track for the Premier League title or even a top four finish, Chelsea need to be more consistent and need to go on another winning streak.
