Should Martial stay at Manchester United?

The talented young French striker arrived at Old Trafford in 2015 for a fee reported to be around the region of 36 million. His start as a Manchester United player was quite promising. He won the Premier League player of the month, PFA, Fans player of the month in his first month in the league and has scored some quite impressive and eye-catching goals and also won the goal of the month award. Does his first year accomplishments end there? Definitely not. He was also the top scorer for Manchester United in both the Premier League and overall competitions in the 2015-16 season.

He could not have asked for a better start in the Premier League given his age but everything turn upside down for him when Manchester United signed ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC. 

The arrival of the big Swede restricted Martial's game time big time. He gave up his shirt number and his starting role and even if he started it was as a wide-man, which is not his natural role. However, the position as a left attacking midfielder was not his to own. He faced some stiff competition from Marcus Rashford and it became a bigger problem for him when he lost pace and had some bad game time. Rashford became the obvious choice to start the game and now Martial is just another player in the bench. 

All these drawbacks definitely does not overshadow the fact that Martial has some serious talent in him. His pace and dribbling skills are really outstanding. Whenever he is at his peak form, there are a very few defenders who can stop him in one-on-one situations. He just glides on the pitch. 

He is now 21 years old and this is the time to prove his worth to the entire world. He cannot afford to have a couple of more seasons playing bit part roles and as a bench warmer. He needs some serious game time or he'd in line to become the next Wilshere, when he can definitely become a world class player.  

This is exactly the reason why I believe that if Martial does not get the play time that he needs at Manchester United, he should try finding it out some place else. Now, that Ibrahimovic is about to return, there is no doubt that his role will reduce drastically unless he performs exceptionally well and proves himself indispensable.

He definitely needs to find more time on the pitch and must put some serious thought into his Old Trafford career if he wants to become the next best thing in world Football.
