Best and Worst performers of the weekend

It's been long after the matches but I'm writing this post in the very first chance that I got. While we head into the international break, this might be a good time to retrospect and for the best starting 11 based on the weekend’s performance. It was one of those super Sundays where four of the big 6 teams went head to head and the better teams happily walked away with three points.
Manchester City ripped Arsenal apart as they defeated the gunners with a score of 3-1 to remain at the top and also to extend their winning run and the point’s gap. Chelsea on the other hand played a quite balanced game, greatly minimized their mistakes and defeated Manchester United with a 1-0 score.
So, which stars had performed with exceeding expectations and which team has been poor.

Well, when it comes to exceeding expectations Manchester City is the obvious choice but this time around we are going to have another team which shares the spot light alongside the league leaders and it’s none other than Liverpool.
City overcame an Arsenal team that have been struggling since the start of the season but nonetheless they are a top team with a strong squad and Liverpool who have had a frustrating start to their campaign, produced an eye catching performance against West Ham.
Manchester City have been unstoppable since the start of the season and have been scoring goals just for the fun of it. They have a solid squad depth and Guardiola has been using it to his fullest advantage.
Liverpool have struggled under Klopp who for the past two seasons has not shown much of a promise in turning the reds into genuine title contenders but their last week’s performance has to be one of their best in recent times.
Now, let’s have a look at the team who have performed quite poorly to be honest and that goes to none other than West Ham United.
The Hammers have been shambolic to say the least. Nothing went the way Bilic had expected it to go and it was all down to the tactical superiority of Liverpool but Bilic must shoulder most of the blame as he should have not let the team go down so much after spending almost a hundred million in the summer transfer window. It is quite evident that a serious change is needed at West Ham and everyone knows what that change is and since that has happened with Bilic being sacked I believe West Ham will find the right choice to turn their fortunes around.

That’s it for now folks. See you again with another post to entertain you.
